Microsoft tests new way to tweak combined taskbar in Windows 11
Microsoft is testing a new way to tweak the combined taskbar in Windows 11. In previous builds, users could only enable or disable the combined taskbar altogether. The new setting, called "Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels," allows users to choose whether to combine taskbar buttons only when the taskbar is full, or always. This gives users more control over how their taskbar looks and functions.
To enable the new setting, open Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Under the "Combine taskbar buttons" section, select "Always" to combine taskbar buttons even when the taskbar is not full, or select "When taskbar is full" to only combine taskbar buttons when the taskbar is full.
The new setting is currently available in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23521. It is not yet known when the setting will be released to the general public.

Here are some of the benefits of using the new setting:

*  It can help to declutter the taskbar and make it easier to see the icons for your open apps.
*  It can be useful if you have a lot of open apps and the taskbar is getting too crowded.
*  It can give you more control over how your taskbar looks and functions.
If you are interested in trying out the new setting, you can join the Windows Insider Program. This will allow you to download and install early builds of Windows 11, including the new taskbar setting.
